Orbital debris is becoming an increasingly serious challenge, posing risks to the safety of space operations. To tackle this, we propose a highly dexterous and adaptable robotic system designed for precise operations in microgravity. With a lightweight structure, an innovative control system, and a modular design, it offers enhanced maneuverability, allowing it to take on a range of tasks without requiring major modifications. It ensures a secure hold on objects of various shapes, making active debris removal more efficient. This paper delves into the system’s design and FEA, highlighting its potential to advance space robotics and contribute to long-term space sustainability.
