Large space structures (LSS) represent a crucial development direction for future spaceflight systems. Characterized by massive dimensions and high flexibility, these structures present significant challenges in launch, construction, and control. This paper investigates gyroelastic structures integrated with control moment gyroscopes (CMGs) as a promising solution for on-orbit assembly. We develop a gyroelastic substructure dynamics model using the dynamic substructure method and analyze the transformation between substructure and complete structure models. Based on this model, we design a decentralized controller employing linear quadratic regulators (LQR). Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach, offering a practical foundation for future LSS development.
