The planetary rovers are required the high mobility performance because of the terrain of planets is mostly covered with loose soil. According to some past researches, we can understand that flexible wheels are effective to traverse loose soil like lunar surface. Therefore, we focus on the spring element of the flexible wheel: especially we confirm the influence of the spring elements using the running experiments. The flexible wheel is constituted the some ribs and the outer material. Moreover, there are the areas with and without ribs. Therefore, we consider the influence of the mobility performance from their difference using various experiments.
