Curiosity (MSL)named in abstract
Our project is Tortoise Mars Rover based on remote sensing satellite Radio communication. It is designed to explore the Mars surfaces and its Environment. It will collect the real time data from the Mars surfaces through cameras and different types of sensors and send back the collected data to the remote satellite station through uplink. It is made to accomplish the Mars mission. It will find the suitable living place for human in future on Mars and also about cultivations, Soil quality, water quality, air quality, Temperature, metal etc. This Rover is capable of receiving and transmitting data at all the time at the rate of 250KBs. Its body is metal sheet cascade and light weight upto1.5kg (Measured on earth). This Mars rover is an Electric motor vehicle designed to travel on the surface of Mars. This Tortoise Mars Rover is based on the Original Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover configuration. It is car-sized, about 20 cm long (not including the arm), 15cm wide, and 8cm tall. It is 1:1/14 scale prototype from Original. The rover features a bio-inspired six-wheeled drive mechanism, an integrated robotic arm and a camera vision technique for advanced image capturing. The system control, for both the rover as well the robotic arm, is done by using microcontrollers such as Arduino-atmega 2560 & Nrf24L01 radio module. Prototype Inspired and introduces from nature, the arm is so designed to switch between three different end effectors depending upon the task to be performed like drilling, Picking things, measuring water level & Temperature by dipping Temperature sensor into the water body. The 6-wheeled gear motor with high torque and 6 gear wheels and six spider-leg wheels. The spider-legs ensures that it can traverse over a considerable height greater than the chassis height which could be as much as thrice the diameter of the wheels, whereas the current NASÀS curiosity rocker bogie system can only traverse over a height twice the diameter of the wheel. Additionally, as they are actuator-powered, the slope of the rover can be adjusted in such a way that it does not topple for a wide range of inclination and allows the rover to traverse over highly rugged terrain. It provides a large amount of traction with the ground. Rover finds applications in the exploration of other planets, deep sea vents and other hostile environments. It offers a possibility of integrating numerous features such mineral collection and sampling, landscape mapping, moisture detection etc. Such an effort may even prove to be instrumental in detection and study of biological activity in worlds other than ours.
